How to Open Rill’s Soup Bags

Having trouble opening Rill’s Soup Bags?

We know, we know the bags of soup can be quite frustrating if you’re trying to open them in a rush. Hopefully, this post will help you open up your bag without spilling beans all over the floor.

Why We Package the Soups in These Bags

Our soups are packaged by hand to ensure quality. So the process we go through to make every bag weigh consistently and to fully seal the food for consumption is different from how a machine does it. As such, our bags are a little different and can at times be a struggle to open.

What you need to open our soup bags

Butter knife
Scissors
Package of soup

Use the back of the knife to unfold the back of the staple

slide the knife under the staple

1. Use the butter knife to remove the staples from the label. You’ll want to keep this in one piece since the directions are on the back and there are little tidbits and facts on the reverse.

A. From the back of the package pry open the fold of the staples
B. After prying open the back folds of the staples slip your butter knife under the staple and pull gently directly toward you. The staples should come right out and the label slip right off.
